And The Winner Of The Can-AM Defender XT Is…
For six weeks, KXRB partnered with Jerry's Auto for the huge "Jerry-O-Key" contest. Listeners were given opportunities to win a brand new Can-AM Defender XT from Big Sioux Power Sports as well as other prizes.
During "Andy and Christine In The Morning," listeners called the show to play "Name That Tune" to guess the exact title of a song snippet that was played during the broadcast. If the 10th caller correctly identified the song, he or she automatically won a key that could start the Can-AM Defender XT. Not only did they receive a key, but the caller also was one of five winners that qualified to win $100 at the end of the week. In some cases, Andy and I needed to move onto the next person if the 10th caller failed to give the correct title of the song.
On Saturday, the qualifiers from KXRB gathered at Jerry's Auto in Lennox to find out who would be the lucky winner of the coveted grand prize. Not only was the Can-AM Defender XT up for grabs, but three qualifiers could have would win $250 while two other qualifiers would walk away with $500 and $1,000! There were a lot of great opportunities to win!
It was a hot one on Saturday, but it was a great turnout at Jerry's Auto. People even brought their lawn chairs in an effort to practice social distancing.
The moment of truth came around noon. The big winner and new owner of the Can-AM Defender XT is...Gary Twedt of Sioux Falls!
Out of the over 140 people who attended the event. The lucky number 2 key was pulled by Jerry, and Gary was holding that key! Incredible!
Congratulations to Gary and to all the other winners! A big thank you to Jerry's Auto and Big Sioux Power Sports for making this contest and event possible as well as for creating a whole of fun and excitement!
