Sioux Falls Hy-Vee Store Giving Away 300 Free Hams This Week
The holidays are fast approaching, and everyone across South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota is getting into the Christmas spirit, including a major Sioux Falls grocery store.
The Sioux Falls Hy-Vee store on East 10th Street is partnering with local first responders and Hormel to give away delicious ham for free!

Hy-Vee is once again hosting "Ham for the Holidays" this year as part of the Hy-Vee One Step program. Thanks to Hormel and first responders, Hy-Vee is giving away 300 FREE Hormel Cure 81® hams to families who are less fortunate than us.
Beginning at 4 PM on Tuesday, December 16th, 300 FREE Hormel Cure 81® hams will be distributed during a drive-thru event at the Hy-Vee located at 3020 East 10th Street in Sioux Falls. A Facebook post from Sioux Falls Hy-Vee explains all the details about how your family can receive a ham.
As the Facebook post mentions, these hams are only available while supplies last. The hams are meant to feed families in need this Christmas season. This event wouldn't be possible without the collaborative efforts of Hormel, the local first responders, and Hy-Vee.
The Hy-Vee One Step program highlights ways to help local communities one step at a time. This includes feeding the hungry, planting trees, or building wells to give everyone access to clean water. There are also specially marked products across Hy-Vee stores that directly benefit the Hy-Vee One Step program like water bottles or a bag of potatoes. "Ham for the Holidays" is part of this initiative.
Please share this story with Sioux Empire families who need a special gift this holiday season. A little help can go a long way for struggling families.
