30-Foot-Tall Snowman Goes Viral in Small Minnesota Town
One Minnesota man is finally putting all of this snow we've been getting to good use, as he built a 30-foot behemoth Frosty the Snowman in his front yard.
The snowman is so giant, it towers over nearly every house in the neighborhood of this small Minnesota town.
Where Can You Find The Giant Snowman?
You can find the giant snowman in the town of Buffalo, Minnesota, about 45 minutes northwest of Minneapolis.
While it hasn't had as much snowfall as its more famous cousin with the same name in western New York, Buffalo has been taking a beating this winter. And with the above-average snowfall, Frosty is bigger than ever, and wider too. Maybe lay off the snowcones, okay Frosty?
This is hardly the family's first crack at building a giant frosty. In fact, this is the fourth year they've done it. This first year, the snowman was 12 feet tall, then 20 feet, 25 feet, and finally, a staggering 30 feet this year.
While the snowman in Buffalo has gained national attention, it's not anywhere near the tallest one ever built. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, that honor belongs to a snowwoman actually. It was built by an entire town in Maine over the course of a month back in 2008 and stood at a mind-boggling 122 feet tall.
