Wait a minute. Tom T. Hall and Roger Miller aren't in the Songwriters hall of Fame??

Tis true. It turns out two of the all time greatest songwriters in the history of country music are not in the national Songwriters Hall of Fame. Wow, that doesn't seem possible.

Tom T., after all, is famously known as 'The Storyteller' with dozens of his own great classics, as well as one of the biggest hits in any kind of music in the 1960's 'Harper Valley P.T.A.' and so many more.

And Roger Miller? Well, I won't go into all the great songs from this master songwriter, suffice to say our music genre' would be woefully lacking if not for the songwriting (and incredible creativity) of Roger Miller. Just for fun, go ahead and Google 'Grammy's 1964' and see what you find.

The others on the list of nominees below are no doubt worthy as well, but I can say this: It is way past time for Tom T. and Roger to enter this Hall of Fame. If they don't, well, something's wrong.

(AP) - Madonna has the potential to be recognized for her songwriting rather than just her singing or performing. She's been nominated for induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Other nominees include George Harrison, Marvin Gaye, Tom Petty, Jimi Hendrix, John Mellencamp, Blondie, Gloria Estefan, The Isley Brothers, Sly Stone and Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards of Chic (SHEEK). The nominee list also includes Michael McDonald, Tom T. Hall, Jeff Lynne of ELO, Steve Miller and Roger Miller. The inductees will be announced sometime after the voting deadline of December 11. The induction ceremony is next June in New York.
