170 Ultra High Wealth South Dakotans Have Much to Be Thankful For

One hundred and seventy South Dakotans have something to be very thankful for this Thanksgiving holiday: They are UHNWs - people of ultra high net worth of $30 million or more.

Meanwhile, according to Wealth-X, which released the recent study, North Dakota’s UHNW ranks grew the fastest and South Dakota’s the second fastest nationally.

According to Wealth-X’s study, 0.2 percent of the South Dakota population is composed of UHNW individuals and North Dakota’s 80 UHNWers make up just over 0.1 percent of Peace Garden State’s residents.

The same report notes that Minnesota has 1,285 UHNWers, Montana 380, Wyoming 350, Nebraska 315 and Iowa 225.

Wealth-X says the United States has the world’s largest ultra high net worth population, more UHNW wealth than any other nation and the world’s largest population of billionaires.
