Call it what you will.  The Pueblo Incident.  The Pueblo Crisis.  The Pueblo Affair.

It was back on January 23, 1968 that North Korea fired upon and captured the USS Pueblo, a vessel which North Korea maintained was in their waters while the United States maintained was in international waters.

The Captain and crew were held hostage by North Korea for eleven months before returning to the United States.  The USS Pueblo remains in North Korea to this day, the only ship of the U.S. Navy being held captive by a foreign government.
