"We have about 47 sanders loaded with plows on ready go to. Right now, we are keeping in touch with the National Weather Service. We had the guys bring in all the motor grades and made sure everything is good on them---fueled up and ready to go."

By the storm moves in, Larson says she will have around 70 workers prepared to get the job done.

The National Weather Service has issued winter storm warnings and watches for a large part of the upper plains, including Southeast South Dakota.

The Weather Service says it will be a significant weather event and that travel conditions will be difficult. In the Sioux Falls area, Jenn Hacker of the Weather Service says the snow should arrive around mid morning. We could see periods of heavy snow and could be as much to a half inch or inch of snow an hour for a three and four hour window late morning into late afternoon.
