South Dakota is known for its rich history and often that involves delicious food. One meal that is popular in the state is Indian Tacos.

Indian Tacos are made with beans or ground beef, chopped lettuce, sliced tomato, shredded Cheddar cheese, and optional green chile atop plate-sized rounds of crispy Navajo or Indian fry bread. This is truly a delicacy!

The manager of the Four Directions Restaurant Michelle Irvin explains that she is extremely proud of her team and all their hard work. The next goal for them is to break a world record.

“We’ve always had a great response to our Indian Taco and felt we could compete. I’m proud of our team, and this win is credited to all the restaurant staff that have come before us. We’ll return next year to defend our title, and also are making plans to break the Guinness World Book of Record for the largest Indian Taco next June during our annual Powwow.”

To celebrate their victory, Four Directions Restaurant at the Fort Randall Casino is bringing back its $5.00 Indian Taco special on Saturday, November 18th! They will also honor the winning team during a special ceremony.
