When I think of the Top 3 guitarist's in Rock and Roll History, I come up with these names: Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton.

No history of Rock and Roll would or could be complete without Eric Clapton.  He's really beyond a legend...he's an icon.

But with that being said, what in the world does Eric Clapton have to do with Classic Country Music??  He certainly wouldn't be confused with Buck Owens, Conway Twitty or Merle Haggard.

And...he wouldn't be confused with the man we know as 'The Gentle Giant' either.  Except...

Eric Clapton and Don Williams shared a great song.  While 'Tulsa Time' certainly wouldn't be as, ah, wild and loud as Eric would get, that same song would be considered one of Don's 'uptempo' hit's.

Let's compare them, shall we?  First, Clapton on stage with 'Tulsa Time'.

OK, now let's here Don sing his 1978 #1 Country Classic.
