WARNER, S.D. (AP) — Residents in the Warner School District in northeastern South Dakota have approved a school expansion.

Initial results show that nearly 77 percent of the 410 people who voted Tuesday favored allowing the school board to borrow $2.2 million for the project. It includes a gymnasium, two elementary classrooms and an elementary computer lab.

The American News reports that construction is expected to take about a year.
