MOBRIDGE, S.D. (AP) — Authorities have identified a Mobridge man who drowned in the Missouri River.

Corson County Sheriff Keith Gall says 67-year-old Danilo Figuracion was thrown into the water during a boating mishap Friday night, and died trying to swim to the pillars of a nearby bridge. His body was recovered Sunday afternoon.

Another Mobridge man in the boat was able to make it to the pillars and was rescued by two teenagers who were fishing nearby. Fifty-seven-year-old William Gant was treated at a Mobridge hospital for minor injuries and released.
