Vehicle Drives on Sidewalk, Hits, Injures Sioux Falls Man

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — A man is seriously injured after a vehicle drove onto a sidewalk in Sioux Falls and hit him.

Sgt. Tarah Walton with the Sioux Falls Police Department says the driver left the scene of the incident.

Walton says around 11:10 p.m. Saturday officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run accident. She says two adults had been walking on a sidewalk, when a vehicle drove partially up and onto the sidewalk and struck one of the pedestrians.

Walton says the injured man was transported to a hospital.

Authorities are asking that anyone with information about the whereabouts of the driver contact police.
