USD’s New Arena to Be Called Sanford Coyote Sports Center
VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) — The University of South Dakota's new $66 million arena will be named Sanford Coyote Sports Center.
Sanford Health secured the naming rights to the facility with a $20 million donation that launched the development of the arena, a science, health and research lab, and an outdoor track and soccer complex in 2012.
Sanford Health has served as the sports medicine provider for the university since 2005.
The 6,000-seat arena for basketball and volleyball is scheduled to open for the 2016-17 academic year.
