Sioux Falls police are looking for someone who was spotted breaking into a car at a tow yard early Thursday.

Officer Sam Clemens says it happened just before 1am at Lightning Towing on North Helen Avenue.

Clemens says a tow truck driver was just returning to the shop when he saw a Honda Accord being driven away, and he saw the trunk was open on a co-worker's car.

The truck driver followed the Accord until it stopped near 8th and West, where the burglar left it and ran away.

Clemens says a window on the car in the lot was broken, and the burglar appeared to be trying to steal speakers from it.

The Honda Accord the burglar was driving also had been stolen, and the owner didn't know it was gone.

No one has been arrested.
