Ted Nugent Holds Youth Outdoors Camp in South Dakota

YANKTON, S.D. (AP) — Rock 'n' roll legend Ted Nugent says he doesn't plan to expand his outdoor camps for children because he wants to ensure the camps are of high quality.

Nugent is an avid hunter and conducts four youth camps each year, in South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa and Colorado. The Daily Press & Dakotan reports that more than 200 children and parents took part in the Ted Nugent Kamp For Kids on Sunday at the National Field Archery Association Easton Archery Center in Yankton.

Nugent says he gets requests to conduct camps in all 50 states and across Canada. But he says that since his name is attached, he has to be hands-on in ensuring that the participants at the existing camps get the best-quality tutoring possible.
