Many events in country music took place on this day in time. There's one in particular that really stands out, and I wish I could have been there! In 1961 The Grand Ole Opry went to Carnegie Hall, with Patsy Cline, Grandpa Jones, Bill Monroe, Minnie Pearl, Marty Robbins, Jim Reeves, Faron Young and The Jordanaires. In the crowd: Jimmy Dean and Jack Benny.
