There is a nine line proposed law in Pierre, SB 205, which, if approved, will allow for the slaughter of any wolf seen anywhere, doing anything, or nothing. Allowing the wholesale slaughter of the wolf, makes us the same as what we accuse them to be, "predators and varmints."

The South Dakota House Education Committee will discuss HB 1087 at 7:15 Wednesday morning in room 413 of the State Capitol. If passed as currently written, local school boards would have the authority to designate an employee to possess, or carry, a firearm on school property.
