PIERRE - A dozen undergraduate students from South Dakota colleges and universities will display their research work in the state Capitol in Pierre this week.

The students will present their projects to state lawmakers and the public Wednesday in the Capitol rotunda.

Jack Warner, the state Board of Regents executive director, says South Dakota's emphasis on research in the past decade has given students some research opportunities that were previously unavailable.

The display features students from public, private and tribal colleges in South Dakota.

Students taking part are from South Dakota State University, the University of South Dakota, the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Black Hills State University, Northern State University, Dakota State University, the University of Sioux Falls, Oglala Lakota College and Sinte Gleska University.
