Fifteen Sioux Falls Police officers were writing lots of citations during a Saturday night-Sunday morning Saturation Patrol.

Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens has the results!

"158 total tickets were issued. There were 10 DWI arrests, 23 no insurance tickets and 13 speeding tickets. There are also other tickets - alcohol and drug arrests that took place."

Clemens says some people aren't getting the message about the danger of drinking and driving.

"Unfortunately, there are some individuals that are intoxicated while behind the wheel. It's their decision, putting their lives and others at risk. Because of them we will continue with these Saturation Patrols in the future. As always, we will announce some of them ahead of time and sometimes we won't. The tickets tell us there is a need to continue with the Saturation Patrols.
