Sioux Falls Police Spokesman Sam Clemens says a worker at the Premier Center was doing traffic control on Sunday night when he was dragged by a vehicle.

"Apparently the driver had dropped off somebody improperly. The worker went to talk with him. He grabbed hold of the handle in the car. The driver took off and dragged the man about fifty meet," said Clemens.

"We had another person who was able to get that guy stopped. Our victim went back to talk to the driver again. When he reached into the window, the driver rolled up the window and took off again. He then almost hit the man that had stopped him. The victim was dragged a second time, probably about a hundred yards before he was able to get free. He was taken to the hospital. It doesn't appear to be any life threatening injuries."

Clemens says the driver was later arrested.

"There were several witnesses to the incident. They were able to get a license plate number. We found the driver and he was arrested for aggravated assault."

Clemens identified the suspect as 49-year-old Todd Schoenselder of Sioux Falls.
