"To be, or not to be" in Vermillion this weekend, that is the question? The fifth annual Shakespeare Festival in Vermillion, South Dakota is going on now through Sunday at Prentis Park.

A performance of Shakespears romance play, “The Winter’s Tale,” will take place Friday and Saturday at 6:00PM and a show on Sunday at 3:00PM. In addition to the play, the South Dakota Shakespeare Festival is offering a series of arts workshops for kids ages 8-18 on Friday, a Scholar’s Roundtable Discussion hosted by USD’s College of Arts and Sciences on Saturday, and a special talk-back session with the artistic company following the matinee performance on Sunday. Plus live music by "The Queen’s Pleasure."

The event is free and is open to the public. Delicious food, beer, wine & soda  will be available one hour before curtain drops. The South Dakota Shakespeare Festival is a professional nonprofit theater company that is supported by USD’s College of Fine Arts and Department of Theatre.
