Scooter-SUV Crash in Aberdeen Kills 80-Year-Old Man

ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) — The collision of a motorized scooter and a sport utility vehicle at an uncontrolled intersection in Aberdeen killed the 80-year-old man on the scooter.

Police Capt. Jay Tobin tells the American News that Gene Becker died at a hospital from injuries he suffered in the crash that happened shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday.

The 40-year-old woman driving the SUV was not cited.
