High-school students that are interested in the health care field can now sign-up for the 9th annual Healthcare Careers Summer Camp at the University of South Dakota on June 14 - 19, 2015.

Students attending the camp will get hands-on learning opportunities as well as take part in an anatomy lab tour and take field trips to area medical facilities.  Campers will also get the chance to work with health care professionals and have the ability to talk to staff from the Sanford School of Medicine and the USD School of Health Sciences.

The Healthcare Careers Summer Camp is available to students who will be entering high-school grades 10 through 12 in the fall of 2015.  Students from South Dakota, northeast Nebraska, northwest Iowa and southwest Minnesota are eligible to apply.

Camp applications must include a counselor application, a parent or guardian signature, an official school transcript and a personal statement.  Application deadline for the June, 2015 camp is Wednesday, April 1, 2015.  Tuition is $100 per student but that fee covers meals, lodging and all activities.
