Police Briefing: Trooper In Critical Conditon [VIDEO]

A South Dakota Highway Patrol trooper is in the hospital after a police chase in Sioux Falls in which the suspect was shot by a law officer.

The patrol says the trooper was run over by the suspect early Wednesday and is in critical but stable condition.  Attorney General Marty Jackley says the 25 year old female suspect suffered gunshot wounds and was hospitalized after being arrested.

Highway Patrol Captain Kevin Joffer provided details of the event during a police briefing in Sioux Falls.
