During Tuesday's Police Briefing at the Sioux Falls Law Enforcement Center, Police Captain Greg VandyKamp says a Sioux Falls man has been arrested on drug related charges.

"Detectives had seen an individual driving they knew did not have a license and also has a drug history. They contacted marked units to try and make a traffic stop. Prior to their arrival, the individual pulled his vehicle over. He abandoned the vehicle and began hiding between cars and trees."

Once officers found the suspect, his vehicle was checked for drugs.

"A K-9 walked around the car and then it was searched. The search did produce a number of items that field tested positive for meth. These items included paraphernalia that are used in conjunction with narcotics."

Thirty-three-year old David Roth of Sioux Falls was charged with possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
