Ricky Skaggs Joins Mark Tassler on KXRB

Multiple time Grammy Award Winner Ricky Skaggs will be live on the Morning Show with me on Wednesday at 9:10am. It is always a special treat to hear your favorite artists in conversation.

I have a lot to talk to Ricky about. First of all, the special honor he is receiving from The Academy Of Country Music the night before. And the release of his new album the day of the interview.

And especially his performance in Sioux Falls coming up on Saturday night. Plus a recent induction into The Gospel Music Hall Of Fame.

We will certainly talk about his fabulous career and many of his big hit songs. Getting the stories behind the songs you love is always fun.

One thing I will touch on also is regarding a good friend of mine, and that's song writer Larry Cordle . Ricky got Larry his first number one hit with the song "Highway 40 Blues". There's a cool story about that song that you will enjoy hearing.

And let's not leave out talking about a friend of Ricky's who was by his side when he first entered the world of professional music. A young man who was just entering as well by the name of Keith Whitley.
