ARMOUR, S.D. (AP) — The general manager of a hunting lodge destroyed by fire near the southeastern South Dakota town of Armour says officials plan to rebuild.

South Dakota Pheasant Acres owner James Monfore tells The Daily Republic that the lodge will be rebuilt as close to the original as possible. General Manager Marty Jensen estimates the cost at between $500,000 and $750,000.

The cause of the blaze Thursday morning isn't known. Jensen speculates that a fireplace left burning by a group of hunters might be the source.
