SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — The majority of South Dakota's winter wheat crop remains in good condition as the winter wears on.

The Agriculture Department says in its latest crop report that 67 percent of the crop is in good to excellent condition, compared with 71 percent last month. Only 1 percent is rated poor or very poor.

Cattle and calf conditions in the state are rated 84 percent good to excellent, and sheep and lamb conditions are 81 percent in those categories.

Hay supplies in South Dakota are rated 98 percent adequate to surplus, and stock water supplies are 80 percent in those categories.
