Brad Teameyer, Meterorologist for the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls, says the region is soaked from the rain.

"The storm worked its way down to Northwest Iowa.  That's where we saw the heaviest rain overnight with the area basically extending from Sheldon down toward Cherokee and into the Storm Lake areas overnight getting 4 to 7 inches."

Brad says Sioux Falls got over two inches of rain overnight in the south part of the city.  At the National Weather Service, over an inch and a quarter has been recorded over the past 24 hours.  "Sioux Falls won't be getting much precipitation during the day.  But, we do believe the city will receive additional rain tonight.  The heaviest rain would be mainly focused south of the city."

Brad Teameyer says Sioux Falls received 6 to 7 inches over the last 48 hours.
