Meth Dealer in Spink, Faulk Counties Sentenced to Prison
ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) — A Redfield man a prosecutor believes was the main supplier of methamphetamine in Spink and Faulk counties has been sentenced to serve four years in prison.
The American News reports that 49-year-old Edward Barrett earlier pleaded guilty to a felony drug charge and was recently sentenced to serve 10 years in prison with six years suspended.
Spink County State's Attorney Vic Fischbach said Barrett used a shipping company to bring in packages of meth from Arizona. Tips from the public led to Barrett's arrest in September.
About a dozen other people were arrested in connection with the case.
