Matt Merritt Talks about Ethanol

While we were at the National NAFB Convention in Kansas City, we were interested in getting an update on the ethanol industry.

That's when we stopped by and visited with Matt Merritt. He is Director of Public Relations for POET.

As you watch the video of the interview, you will see us talking about renewable fuels, an economic impact report, blender pumps and E15 showing up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Matt said, "We're looking at an upcoming decision by the EPA on what the ethanol volumes are going to be for the next couple of years."

The deadline for setting those volumes is November. So they are to do it yet this month.

Matt also told us, "A lot of people from right in South Dakota have been writing into the EPA expressing the importance of ethanol. Hopefully the will get the message."
