There's no doubt that Mac Davis is one of the most successful and influential sing-songwriters of the last half century.  Mac wrote songs for some many people from Elvis Presley (In The Ghetto) to Kenny Rogers and the First Edition (Something's Burning).

Mac has been to the top of the Country and Pop charts himself as well.  Who can forget "Baby Don't Get Hooked On Me", "Texas In My Rearview Mirror" and of course, the fun song dedicated to ego "It's Hard To Be Humble".

This weekend, Mac will talk about the stories behind the songs and you'll hear them all on Classic Country 1000 KXRB. Mac joins Grand Ole Opry star Jim Ed Brown on "Country Music Greats" Saturday night at 10 and again Sunday afternoon at 4.
