SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson is set to announce the formation of a human trafficking task force in South Dakota.

Johnson is set to make the announcement during a Thursday news conference at the Federal Courthouse in Sioux Falls.

He will also be discussing recent prosecutions of commercial sex traffickers in South Dakota.

Combatting human trafficking has been a major focus of Johnson's during his tenure as U.S. attorney.

Johnson will be joined at the news conference by Minnehaha County State's attorney Aaron McGowan and representatives from the Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office and Sioux Falls Police Department.
