(AP) - Don't get her wrong. Jennifer Nettles has a Twitter account and uses it to stay in touch with fans. But the Sugarland singer says she doesn't feel like everything she thinks, eats or does should be posted online.

She has written a song called "Know You Wanna Know" - and says it's inspired by the "love-hate relationship" she has with "our culture's obsession with celebrity and social media."

She says these days fans now demand an "immediacy of access" that wasn't available before. She says while she is "very open as an artist" and exposes herself to fans through her art, she is also "a very private person." And for Nettles, that means she isn't "super interested in sharing everything" - because she considers some things personal and "sacred."
