I started to make a list of songs in country music that would fit the Halloween theme. I ran out of paper.

The genre is loaded with creepy stuff. Ghosts, death and horror is in most of the songs.

The song 'Miller's Cave' tells of killing people and dragging their bodies into a cave. The Statler Brothers singing, 'I'll Go To My Grave Loving You' gives you the picture in your mind of a cemetery.

How about funeral songs like, 'Farewell Party', 'He Stopped Loving Her Today' and 'The Ballad Of Forty Dollars'.

Then there are the ghost songs including 'Phantom 309', 'The Old Man And His Horn' and 'The Ride'.

And let's not forget the song about the haunted Corvette, 'Riding With Private Malone'. And for God's sake, what about the man that was buried alive when a mine collapsed. Some big dude named John.

I guess if you listen to country music on a regular basis, everyday is Halloween.
