Do you take things in your life for granted? If you do, here are some tips to help you appreciate what you have!
1. Stop dwelling on how things should be, what could have been and what you don’t have. You could try writing a list of the blessings in your life. Consider this thought: Many less fortunate people will want some of the basic things that you take for granted.
2. Become a problem solver! Use your lemons to make lemonade! Get in the habit of turning negativity into positive thinking. Remember—positive thoughts create positive results. The bottom line is this: If you dwell on the darkness, you will never see the light!
3. Develop a gratitude journal. At the end of every day, write down 5 things that have made you happy or appreciate that day. Take it a step further—write a gratitude letter to someone who has or is helping you. Get together with the person and share the letter with him.
4. Take joy in the small things. Walk the dog, watch a funny movie and have a good laugh, tell the people closest to you how much you really love them.and most off all give thanks for each small gift you receive.
