Sioux Falls Police say four teens were arrested on attempted robbery charges early Wednesday morning.

"We had a homeowner that heard somebody trying to kick in his door about three in the morning. He ended up calling police," explained Public Information Officer Sam Clemens. "As officers arrived on scene they saw a car leaving. Four people were inside the car, all teenagers. They had some gloves, masks, and a pellet gun that looked realistic. We figured out they were planning on breaking into this house and robbing the man that lived there."

Clemens says 19-year-old Terry Monroe, 19-year-old Benjamin Bisaillon, 19-year-old Kenzee Hanssen and 18-year-old Franklin Michael were arrested on attempted robbery and attempted burglary charges.

One of the teens faces drug charges after officers discovered a small amount of marijuana.
