Work starts Monday April 27 in Sioux Falls on four big street construction projects. Traffic delays are expected Monday, so you may want to leave a little early. Here are the four parts of town where road work will be happening.

On West 12th Street from Kiwanis Avenue to Western Avenue concrete and sanitary sewer repairs will start Monday. Traffic will be reduced to one lane at time during this project. It's expected to be done by September.

At the intersection of East 11th Street and South Second Avenue in downtown Sioux Falls street reconstruction will begin Monday and is expected to continue through mid June. During this project Eastbound traffic on 11th Street will be reduced to one lane through the intersection. Second Avenue will be closed from the south side of 11th Street to the north side of the South Third Avenue intersection. No turns onto or off of 11th Street will be allowed.

On South Solberg Avenue street and utility work from West 49th Street to West 57th Street  starts on Monday. This large projects includes removal of the existing pavement, major storm sewer installation, water main replacement, paving, sidewalks, street lights, and restoration. Work is expected to continue until November. Solberg Avenue traffic will be detoured to Louise Avenue.

At 22nd Street and South Minnesota Avenue, reconstruction of the intersection starts Monday. Work will include pavement replacement within the intersection, joint repairs for one block in each direction on Minnesota Avenue and one block west on 22nd Street, and underground utility upgrades. Work is expected to be done by July. Minnesota Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction at 22nd Street, and 22nd Street will be closed at Minnesota Avenue. Traffic on 22nd Street will be detoured to 26th Street via Phillips Avenue and Grange Avenue. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Minnesota Avenue at all times.
