Former Legislator, Heilman, Dies at Age of 92

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - State officials say former state legislator John B. Heilman Jr. of Miller has died.

The South Dakota governor's office says Heilman died Tuesday at the age of 92. He served from 1953-1954 in the South Dakota House of Representatives.

Gov. Dennis Daugaard has ordered flags lowered to half-staff at the Capitol on the day of Heilman's funeral, which is Monday, June 10.
