DEADWOOD, S.D. (AP) - Gaming revenue in Deadwood may have leveled off after several months of steep declines.

The Rapid City Journal reports that total wagers in May fell by $3.9 million from the same month in 2012. But gross revenues declined by only 1.6 percent, to $9.39 million.

The South Dakota Gaming Commission says table game revenue jumped 22.77 percent in May to more than $913,000. Slot machine revenue fell 2.84 percent to $8.48 million. Slot machine gaming is the bulk of Deadwood gaming.
