SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Bond has been set at $25,000 cash for a Sioux Falls man accused of robbing a bank at gunpoint.

Forty-five-year-old Rickey Starks appeared in court on Monday. He did not enter pleas to robbery and aggravated assault charges.

Police allege that Starks entered Dacotah Bank on Thursday morning with a gun and demanded cash. He was arrested Friday night following a brief standoff at his apartment.

Police spokesman Sam Clemens says authorities believe the weapon was an Airsoft gun, which shoots plastic pellets.

Prosecutors say authorities recovered the $8,700 in cash that Starks allegedly stole.
