I had the great opportunity once again to meet up with an old friend. We had time to catch up for the first time in a lot of years and then I brought him on stage for a wonderful show.

Bobby Bare was in Sioux Falls on Sunday performing 2 shows at The VFW. I was at the early program.

He gave the audience exactly what they came for. He did all of his biggest hits. "Detroit City" and "Marie Laveau" were saved for last.

Along with the songs he mixed in a lot of humor in traditional Bobby Bare laid back style. The great sized crowd loved every bit of it. Bobby pointed out that he doesn't perform for the fame or the money these days, but instead the applause. He got plenty of that from the Sioux Falls audience.

After wrapping up on stage there was plenty more to come for his fans. It was time to make friends at the meet and greet table.

We were also treated to The Dakota Opry Band opening the show. And I had some additional fun meeting and talking with some of the fans.
