STURGIS, S.D. (AP) — The owner of a popular South Dakota biker bar destroyed by fire this week says he has to process what has happened and then figure out the future.

Full Throttle Saloon owner Michael Ballard said in a statement shared on the bar's Facebook page that walking the grounds following the tragedy is "simply devastating." He says that because of his large financial investment in the Full Throttle Sloonshine distillery in his hometown of Trimble, Tennessee, he's not yet in a position to just start rebuilding.

Volunteer firefighters found heavy smoke when they responded to the bar around 12:30 AM Tuesday, and the main building was gutted less than three hours later. No injuries were reported.

The fire's cause has not yet been determined.
