Hi, and thanks for logging on! I'm a lifelong South Dakotan, in fact a lifelong eastern South Dakotan. I grew up on a farm north of Montrose, in McCook County and am a South Dakota State University grad (Go Jacks!). I lived and worked for a time in Huron after college and have lived in Sioux Falls since January of 1975. My wife's name is Sharon and we're Twins fans, although some years it isn't easy. I hope you'll keep checking my posts. We're not going to get into who's right, who's wrong or who's full of something. I'm just telling you a bit about what's going on with me.

Huron Man Dies of Injuries from 2-Vehicle Crash

A Huron man died Sunday of injuries he received five days earlier in a two-vehicle crash south of Huron, in Beadle County.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says 20-year-old Bo Mutchelknaus failed to stop at a stop sign on a gravel road and his vehicle was struck by one driven by an Alpena man shortly before 5pm Tuesday

Applications Available for ‘Citizens’ Academy’

Sioux Falls Police and Metro Communications are taking applications for their "Citizens' Academy," which begins in mid-January.

Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says the Academy will include training in topics such as police patrol procedures, K-9 operations, crime scene processing, crime prevention, and investigative methods of fraud, narcotics, theft and assaults
