Anthony Becht: Does Michael Vick Have One Last Hurrah?

Anthony Becht joined Jeff Thurn on Tuesday’s edition of Overtime.

Becht is a former NFL tight end, who played for New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, St. Louis Rams, Arizona Cardinals, and Kansas City Chiefs. He caught 188 passes for 1,537 yards, and 21 touchdowns.

Becht on the difference between how Lovie Smith and Greg Schiano are running the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

“They haven’t done anything from an systematic, organizational standpoint that I think will be top-notch, says the guy that has been there, done that and is a proven winner, and knows how to put a organization and team together. I think it’s coordinating with your general manager, a guy he doesn’t know personally, work in free agency, evaluating talent, and getting the best players on the field that best his system. I think when you are moving forward, that’s the best thing for him, and he will find guys that fit his system and step up and be a part of his defense and along with the offense he will have.”

Becht on if Michael Vick could make one last hurrah if healthy:

“I don’t think any teams that are going to be in position for him are going to make that run for a title. I think Vick to me, is a guy that still wants to play and to start, and I don’t know if he wants to be in that position where he has to be that guy to help lead and be a player with Foles. Moving forward, I think in his position, he has a few years left.”
