How about some good news?

Country Superstar Alan Jackson is back with a new single and new album!

The album is called 'Angels And Alcohol'. And while I haven't heard much from the album yet, I gotta say I like it already...just from the title!

A lot of country artist's try to change their music, their sound, trying to expand their audience. By 'stretching' into other areas, they lose their country sound altogether. It may be progressive, it may be following the trend, and perhaps to many it means more money. By becoming more 'pop', you move into a whole new arena.

Other artist's don't move into another arena, they just see their own 'arena' continue to grow. Think George Strait, as an example. And Alan Jackson.

Alan had never been afraid or ashamed of a great fiddle, a crying steel or just a plain, flat out great drinkin' or cheatin' song. It might be an uptempo tune (Chatahoochie comes to mind) or a ballad that lives forever (How about 'Remember When' or the anthem 'Where Were You'), there's no doubt this Georgia boy is real country.

The first single from the new album is 'Jim And Jack And HanK'.

And in it, Alan pays a tribute to the great country artists by doing a little name dropping. I love it.
