For us country music fans, we are looking forward to Sunday night (April 15). It's the Academy of Country Music Awards that we get to see one time each year.

I've been following the event for a long time. I was just reminiscing today about 40 years ago when one of the hosts of the show in 1978 was Donna Fargo. And Kenny Rogers' song, "Lucille" was awarded Song of the Year. With classic songs in mind, we're in for a treat this year

The new Academy of Country Music Awards entertainment segment will honor classic Country hits and the artists whose music continues to influence musicians and fans alike.

Toby Keith and Blake Shelton will team up to perform Keith's "Should've been A Cowboy", Alan Jackson and Jon Pardi will collaborate on Jackson's "Chattahoochee", and Reba McEntire will pair with Kelly Clarkson for McEntire's hit, "Does He Love You". Each of the songs originally made waves on Country radio 25 years ago in 1993.

The 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards will air LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 15 at 7:00 PM Central on CBS.
