An inmate in a New Mexico prison has revealed to investigators he launched a plot to kill Justin Bieber. Dana Martin told authorities he persuaded a man he met in prison and the man’s nephew to kill Bieber and Bieber’s bodyguard.

The plot included castrating and killing two people not connected to the singer. No one has been hurt.

Martin is serving two life sentences for the killing of a 15-year-old girl in 2000. He was angry at Bieber for not responding to his letters.

Investigators say Mark Staake and Tanner D. Ruane were in on the plot and on their way to a Bieber concert in New York when they took a wrong turn, crossed into Canada and Staake was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Ruane was arrested later.
