We lost Johnny Cash in 2003.

In May of that year, June Carter Cash passed away. And just four month's later, her husband joined her.

The Man In Black was gone. But his incredible music remained. His voice remained. His influence remains to this day.

And in 2003 the Country Music Association honored him.

It was bittersweet.
