1994 Shirtless Diet Coke Guy

Plenty of famous folks have gotten their start in TV commercials. Lucky Vanous was born in Lincoln, Nebraska and while on a trip to New York City he was discovered.

Vanous had hopes of pursuing a modeling career while continuing his studies. In 1994 he landed the role in the popularly spoofed Diet Coke commercial.

Lucky become one of PEOPLE's 50 Most Beautiful in 1994, and went on to release a workout video, and then decided to try his hand at acting.

He did manage to land his own TV series 18 Wheels of Justice.
